Look back millions and then thousands of years with Dr. Chad Pritchard (EWU Geology professor) to learn the highlights of the geological events that formed Palisades Park and Indian Canyon as we know it today, here at the leading edge of the “channeled scablands”.

We will meet at the Greenwood Rd and Rimrock Dr parking lot. Please make sure to dress for the weather, wear good hiking footwear and protect yourself from mosquitoes and ticks. The ending time of the hike will be somewhat determined by the group as we go (q. & a., particular interests to select from, etc.) but typically the walk lasts 3 or so hours.
